They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder, but when it comes to Valentine’s Day it sure doesn’t make things easier. Dinner over Zoom just doesn’t offer the same intimacy and a shared movie alone in your separate spaces is, well, lonely.
If you’re like many parents, the stay-at-home orders in light of the Coronavirus pandemic forced you into a new role: homeschool teacher. With many jobs switching to work-from-home and schools switching to at-home, online learning, parents were forced to take on the role of teacher to help their kids learn through that challenging transition.
Childhood is made up of many activities, memories, and special moments. Many of these activities are some we are begrudgingly forced into like school or a doctor’s visit. But the ones we look back on fondly are those that brought us great joy, taught us a skill, or made us stronger.
