California Prop 65 Warning: California Proposition 65, originally known as the 'The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986,' is an initiative passed by voters to address concerns about toxic chemicals.
California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those chemicals are above certain threshold levels. A Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. Therefore, for certain products, Checkworks, Inc. is providing the following warning on its product packaging: WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including DINP, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, and chemicals including DIDP, which are known to the state of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
